Counseling Services
At San Antonio Counseling Collective, we support people through many different life experiences — from moments of stress or uncertainty to deeper, long-standing challenges. We work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, meeting you where you are and helping you move forward at a pace that feels right

What Brings People to Therapy
You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan before starting therapy. Many people come in knowing something isn’t quite right, even if they’re not sure how to name it yet. That’s a normal place to begin, and we’ll help you sort through it.
People seek counseling for many reasons. Some are going through a specific situation, while others are noticing patterns they want to better understand or change.
We offer specialized care in areas such as:
-
Anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed
-
Depression or persistent low mood
-
Psychological trauma, PTSD, or past experiences that still feel present
-
Relationship challenges or communication struggles
-
Teen and adolescent concerns
-
Pregnancy, postpartum, and perinatal mental health
-
Life transitions, grief, and identity questions
You don’t need to decide on a diagnosis or treatment approach ahead of time. Therapy begins with conversation, curiosity, and learning what support will be most helpful for you.

Learn More About These Areas of Care
Some clients like to read more about certain types of therapy before reaching out. Others have been referred for a specific service and want to know what to expect. The following pages go into more detail about approaches and evaluations we’re frequently asked about.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-informed therapy that helps the brain process difficult memories and experiences in a new way. It’s often used for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and experiences that feel “stuck” or hard to move past.
Couples therapy offers a space to slow down, understand recurring patterns, and work toward healthier communication and connection. Partners seek counseling for many reasons — from navigating conflict to rebuilding trust or strengthening their relationship.
ADHD can show up differently across the lifespan, affecting focus, emotional regulation, relationships, and daily routines. We offer therapy and psychological testing to help clarify concerns, support treatment planning, and provide meaningful recommendations.

Choosing a Therapist
The most important part of therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. Our clinicians bring a range of training, perspectives, and specialties, and we’re happy to help you find someone who feels like a good fit.
