Texas Patient Rights & Consumer Information 

In accordance with Texas Health & Safety Code §181.105 and House Bill 4224 (effective September 1, 2025), patients have the right to access important information about requesting records, contacting the licensing council, and filing consumer complaints.

​1. Request Your Health Care Records

You may request a copy of your health care records at any time.
To request records from your therapist:
• Submit a written request to hello@SACounselingCollective.com
• Submit a request by phone at 210-314-2026
• You may be asked to verify your identity and sign an authorization

2. Contact the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC)

For questions about professional licensure or to seek further assistance, you may contact the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, which regulates licensed counselors, marriage & family therapists, psychologists, and social workers in Texas.

3. File a Consumer Complaint with the Texas Attorney General

If you wish to file a consumer complaint regarding services received, you may do so through the Office of the Texas Attorney General – Consumer Protection Division.
